Starting At A Young Age
1) Chen Wen Li Wen Li started to attend class in Skylace when she was six years old, till when she was in Primary Six. Despite coming from an English speaking family and without any home tuition, she managed to score an "A-star" for Chinese Language and a Distinction for 'Higher Chinese' with an aggregate score of 280. (The highest score for PSLE result that year was 283). Her success was attributed to her hard work and the class she attended every week in Skylace. 2) Xie Yingting Yingting joined Skylace at the age of 4. Learning began with reading and recognising simple Chinese words. This was followed by writing Chinese characters, forming sentences, re-arranging Now 7 years old, not only can she read fluently, she is also capable of completing an essay by herself with some guidance from the teacher. As time goes by and as she grow up, she will certainly be able to produce even better essays as she gains more knowledge. 3) Mao Heng Bin Heng Bin started to attend classes in Skylace ever since he was young. He learned "Hanyu Pinyin", building a good foundation in Chinese. From his primary school days to being a student at Raffles Junior College, he had always been a top bilingual student, and became a scholar with his GCE "A" Level results in 2003. |
